Megaera Regan

Megaera Regan is a retired elementary physical education teacher from Port Washington, New York, and currently serves as an adjunct professor at Southern Connecticut State University. She has received multiple prestigious awards, including the 2018 NYS AHPERD Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year, the 2020 SHAPE America Eastern District Elementary PE Teacher of the Year, the 2022 NYS AHPERD Joy of Effort Award, and the 2023 NYS AHPERD Amazing Person Award. Megaera remains a passionate advocate for Meaningful Physical Education, child-directed play, and the brain-body connection, continuing to influence the field through her teaching and leadership.
