Dr. Jean Mee

Dr. Jean Mee is the founder of the Connecticut Cadre of Physical Education Trainers and a retired Connecticut State Department of Education consultant for Physical Education and School Health. Throughout her career, she has held numerous leadership roles, including project leader for the Beginning Educator Support & Training (BEST) Portfolio Assessment and the Healthy & Balanced Living Curriculum Framework. She has served as a district director for health and physical education and as a professor of education, adapted physical education, and exercise science at Southern Connecticut State University, Central Connecticut State University, and Quinnipiac University. A PreK–12 physical education teacher by background, Dr. Mee has received the CTAHPERD Outstanding Service Award and has been inducted into both the Connecticut Volleyball Hall of Fame and the New Agenda Northeast Hall of Fame.
