Ellen Benham

Ellen Benham is a retired middle school physical education teacher with 26 years of experience, as well as a former middle and high school coach, athletic director, and K–12 health and physical education administrator. She played a key role in organizing and initiating intramural and Unified Sports programs and has served as a soccer official at both the middle and high school levels. Ellen is a past president of CTAHPERD and the Eastern District of SHAPE America and currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) program at Central Connecticut State University. She is also the Business Manager and Treasurer of NJAHPERD and President-Elect of the National Academy for Health and Physical Literacy.
