Casey Aiezza

Casey Aiezza is a Health and Physical Education teacher for grades K–5 and a recognized leader in elementary physical education. She was named District Teacher of the Year in 2024 and previously earned School Teacher of the Year honors in 2014. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Connecticut Association of Schools Exemplary Elementary School Program Award, the ING Unsung Heroes Award, the Springfield College “40 Under 40” Award, and the Diane Potter & Eric Palmer Award. Casey serves as a K–12 PE/Health Curriculum Link Leader and CT TEAM Mentor and holds a master’s degree in Special Education. She is also a Certified Adapted Physical Educator (CAPE) and an instructor in archery, First Aid/CPR, and water safety.
